Roadshop Chassis Difference

Industry Standard

Frame Rails
Why the difference?
Bent square tubing
Vehicle-specific CNC cut pattern with 10 gage boxed rails
Our CNC cut patterns ensure consistent strength, fitment and flowing, high quality, paint ready shapes. Bent tubing produces weak spots with unsightly wrinkles where the frame is prone to bending.
Crossmembers
Why the difference?
MIG welded, mandrel bent basic construction
TIG welded, dedicated pattern with vehicle specific design
Our fully adjustable crossmembers combine strong design elements with a combination of materials and patterns tailored to each vehicle. We also include exhaust and brake line ports, fuel line clearances and exhaust mounts.
Spindle
Why the difference?
Mustang II
C6 Corvette
Modern day components fom the C6 corvette far exceed the quality and performance of the 1970’s economy car components. Z06 hub with sealed bearings vs the non-sealed industry standard.
Sway Bars
Why the difference?
Bent Tubing
Splined sprung steel
Sprung steel manufactured by NASCAR supplier. Utilizes C6 Corvette end links for performance, reliability and zero noise. Available in different rates which can be easily and quickly changed to fine tune track performance.
Control Arms
Why the difference?
7/8" upper - 1-1/8" lower
1-1/4" upper - 1-5/8" lower
Larger diameter control arms designed to handle the weight of heavier cars and stresses of performance driving. Smaller diameters are prone to flexing and bending. TIG welded, braced and gusseted for higher strength.
Control Arm Mounts
Why the difference?
Through Bolts
Reverse mounted, 4041 pre-hardened shafts
Our control arm mounts allow simple caster/camber adjustability without removing the entire control arm and through bolt, which is often difficult in a completed car. This allows quick adjustment for all driving requirements.
Brackets
Why the difference?
MIG welded, single shear
TIG welded, boxed double shear
TIG welding boxed, double shear brackets provides greater weld penetration, heat control, strength and a more visually appealing finished product. Unboxed, single shear mounts are often prone to bending and flexing.
Bump Stops
Why the difference?
None
Positive and Negative
Bump stops provide protection for your suspension components and chassis. We provide both positive and negative stops to allow protection through maximum suspension range.
Bushing Material
Why the difference?
Polyurethane
Delrin
Polyurethane distorts with little pressure. Delrin holds it’s shape with over 2000lbs of pressure with zero deflection allowing full range of suspension motion.
Brushing Lubrication
Why the difference?
None
Grease fitting in every brushing
Bronze, oil lite sleeve in every bushing. Designed to keep bushing lubricated and allow for full, fluid motion. Spiral grease groove designed to dispearse grease across the entire bushing.
